FROM: St Margarets, UK DATE: 19 June, 2010 TILES USED: 19 CREATURE: Palatailsnail COMMENT: The palatailsnail is like the garden-variety palasnail except for its long mucousy tail. This makes it a favourite of predators, who can simply pick them up by their tail, swing them around a few times, them tenderise them on the nearest rock. Delicious! |

FROM: London, UK DATE: 21 January, 2010 TILES USED: 48 CREATURE: Palagoyle COMMENT: Palagoyles are fierce looking creatures that perch on palace rooftops to ward off evil spirits by spitting rainwater at them. This role is largely ceremonial, however, as most evil spirits don't mind getting wet and those that do can just come back when it's not raining. The difference between palagoyles and gargoyles is that palagoyles don't gargle the rainwater. |

FROM: London, UK DATE: 11 January, 2010 TILES USED: 48 CREATURE: Palamenco dancer COMMENT: This Palamenco dancer emerged while I was playing with the tiles at a dinner party last night. I think she's enjoying herself, but it's hard to say for sure as it looks like she's swallowed a snail and was drawn by Picasso on an especially abstract day. Note the two balls she's juggling as she dances - that's not easy! She uses all 48 tiles. |
